Recently in one of our groups this question was asked.
“What advantage does a dual clip wider holster offer over a single clip holster?”
1. Dual clip holsters like the TACRIG FLEX offer excellent weight distribution across the belt line. Instead of pulling down the belt and putting all the weight in a singular spot this design spreads the weight out over the belt evenly.
2. Single clip holsters have a tendency to travel on your belt.
3. People got away from the dual clip design because traditional hybrid holsters are unsafe. With only a leather backing that can break down over time and offer access to the trigger they became unsafe as they wore out.
4. When we designed the tacrig system, we took the characteristics that were solid about a hard shell holster, and married them with the comfort of a hybrid design. Our system has hard shell both front and rear of the trigger but also offers a flexible breathable backer that goes in between you and your holster to keep you comfortable.
